Activists in London
London is home to hundreds of activists and campaigners, both political and social, tackling issues that affect a variety of groups across the capital. In the 2015 election year we invite you to submit films about some of the activists working in this city to fight for their chosen cause.
Goodbye Europe
‘Goodbye Europe’ is an anthology of short films about the London lives of people from each of the 28 nations in the EU, shot in the final months of the UK’s time in the EU. The films will take you inside a cage fight, an evangelical church and a rehearsal room at the Royal Ballet. You will also discover the perspectives of a Bulgarian abseiler, a Swedish economist, a Spanish Big Issue vendor, a Finnish hairdresser and many many more.
London Moves Me
1000 Londoners teamed up with London Sport to discover stories about Londoners striving to be more physically active to help London become the #MostActiveCity. This diverse and empowering set of original documentaries takes you on a tour of active London, from Waltham Forest to Thornton Heath, Newham to Hammersmith...
Looking After London
Looking After London meets the Londoners who give their time to care for our city and the people in it. We want to explore the motivations for caring as well as the ways in which people can care for something, somewhere or someone. From befriending the elderly, to hosting homeless refugees, to looking after London’s wildlife, this season celebrates the characters who call the city their home and care for their community.
Necropolis
12 filmmakers from Chocolate Films ventured into the streets of London on Halloween to document one night in the lives of Londoners. We experienced a Japanese language Halloween Party, went trick-or-treating with a crowd of eight year olds and joined a queue to see the master of horror, John Carpenter.
