As cabbies fight to hold onto their privileged position on London’s streets, the new film in the 1000 Londoners series of documentaries celebrates the experience of riding in the back of a cab. Paul has been a cabbie since he did the knowledge two decades ago. In this short film he takes us through the streets of central London, telling stories about the people who’ve been in the back of his cab. He’s seen tourists experience London for the first time and picked up a Roger Moore and Michael Caine as they stumbled out of Langans.
