Londoner #218 | Henok, who fled Eritrea and found refuge in London

At just 16 years old, Henok fled the totalitarian state of Eritrea. He tells how he had no money and no family to help him. We met Henok at The Cardinal Hume Centre in Westminster on a filmmaking workshop. Henok worked with us to film and edit this film. Arriving in London was very stressful, but now Henok tells us he’s happy. He has been granted asylum in the UK and is learning English and studying.
