Londoner #318 | Alex, bringing Black music and culture to the BBC

Alex, with the Alex Pascall Singers, knew he wanted to create a new BBC radio programme that spoke to the Black community. So between 1974 and 1988 he, along with his wife Joyce, created the Black Londoners radio programme. Watch him describe that journey before the programme went international, and how he had to convince people that he could do it along the way.

Alex is a part of the 1000 Londoners ‘Windrush Generations’ season.
