Natalie Bell has lived in Waterloo for over 25 years and dedicated her life to working for the community in the area. She has two kids, two cats and a very lively grandchild. But why is her name on one of Tate’s buildings?

As part of an art project by artist Tania Bruguera, Natalie was chosen in 2018 by a group of local neighbours to have Tate Modern’s former Boiler House renamed after her in recognition of her volunteer work in the community. Natalie is the Head of Youth and Community programmes at Coin Street Community Builders.
